Design Authenticity

Thank you for your inquiry re: authenticity.

In the early 70's I did extensive research of the furniture of the medieval times. There was very little to go on, especially in picture form, therefore, alot of my designs are interpretations of text that described the furniture or accounted of its use. I have also been informed, by clients and interested folks, of the type of furniture in the European medieval castles that they visited that my interpretations are fairly close to what they have seen.

The same goes for the Early Canadian designs.

I try to be accurate as much as possible but my intent is to allow people to enjoy my creative designs of furniture which, at the very least, represent the spirit of the times both for the wealthy and poor of that time.

I never have and never will prentend that my plans are completely authentic for the eras they represent. Some of the designs are purely from my imagination which is triggered by what I read of those times. I just enjoy creating furniture ideas and like to share them.

A lot of my furniture designs are in the style of the times.

I hope that helps you.
